Before you let anyone in to your home - THINK!

Are you expecting anyone? If not keep them out of your home! It is very unlikely that Essex & Suffolk Water will need to get into your home without arranging it with you first. If you do open your door, USE YOUR CHAIN.

Look for logos on vehicles and clothing and examine the caller's identity and card.

If the caller says they are from the water company ring Essex & Suffolk Water to confirm their identity. A genuine Essex & Suffolk Water employee will not mind waiting outside while these checks are carried out. The number to call is:
