Cafe on the water

With its spectacular views over the surrounding countryside, stylish new interior design and quality food and drink is set to be a popular destination for all.

The interior has been completely redesigned to deliver a very enjoyable and dining experience in an unusual venue at the Fishing
Lodge on Giffords Lane. Café on the water will serve a mouth watering
selection of delicious main meals, sandwiches, salads and desserts
from its "summer days" range. There will also be a selection of alcoholic
and non alcoholic beverages to accompany your meal.

There are ample parking facilities and an on site shop which sells a range of clothing, confectionary, ices and leisure supplies should you wish to turn your trip into an enjoyable day out.

The nature reserve next to the Café on the water is renowned for the wildlife it is home to and has proved very popular with bird watchers across the region. A walking trail will take you through to the nature reserve to Essex Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre. Alternatively why not try you hand at a spot of fishing!

Opening hours for Café on the water

As from the 7th March 2009 Café on the water will be open from 9:00 - 17:00 seven days a week.  The tackle shop will also be open from 8:00 - 16:00 seven days a week.
