The objectives of this Procurement Policy are to :

• Ensure a consistent, best practice approach to procurement across Essex & Suffolk Water.
• Ensure that all individuals involved in the procurement of third party works, goods and services have a clear understanding of the Essex & Suffolk Procurement Policy and what is required of them.
• Provide that only the most appropriate works, goods and services are procured from reputable, competent suppliers on the basis of best value for money for Essex & Suffolk Water and
• Protect Essex & Suffolk, and the individuals involved, from the considerable risks associated with procurement not being properly conducted.
• Include the principles of our Sustainable Development Policy in our choice of business partners and suppliers of works, goods and services.
