Save water, save money and save carbon
As part of our 2007 shower campaign, we have been encouraging customers to save water by spending one minute less in the shower. Doing so could save you around 40 glasses of water.
But did you know that spending less time in the shower will reduce your carbon emissions too?
A lot of energy is required to heat the water to your desired temperature when showering. Therefore, spending one minute less in the shower will not only save water, but will also reduce the amount of gas or electricity needed to heat water, thereby saving you money.
We have developed a calculator that will show you how much water you use when showering over a year, how much energy is required to heat the water, the carbon emissions and finally, how much the water and energy costs over the year.
See how much money you could save…
The calculator will then show you your potential water, energy and money savings if you spent one minute less in the shower.
Please note: The calculated water and energy cost savings are based on data which was accurate in January 2007.
