• Direct Debit - payments can be made on the 8th, 18th and 28th of the month. If you pay by Direct Debit you will automatically receive a reduction of £3.00 on your next bill. To set up a Direct Debit you can download a Direct Debit form below or call us on 0845 782 0111.

• Debit / Credit Card - you can make a payment by calling our 24/7 automated payment service on
0845 604 6391. You will need your 12 digit customer reference number, found on your bill and your debit or credit card details. If you would like to make a payment and also require another service, you will need to speak to a customer advisor. Please call 0845 782 0111 (8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 1pm on Saturday).
• Online - via our website using debit cards only.
• PayPoint - pay by cash free of charge at any PayPoint outlet. Find your nearest PayPoint outlet.
• Post - You should make any cheques or postal orders payable to Essex & Suffolk Water and send them with your payment slip to Essex & Suffolk Water, PO Box 292, Durham, DH1 9TX. Your customer reference number should be written on the back of your cheque. Please do not send cash or post dated cheques through the post.
• Your Local Bank - You can take your payment slip and pay your bill at any bank over the counter. This is normally free at your own bank or if paying in cash at your local NatWest branch.
• Telephone or Internet Banking - If you have an online or telephone banking facility you can pay by quoting your customer reference number, sort code 570959 and account number 00000000.
• BACS - you can pay by Bank Automated Clearing System using the following details - your customer reference number, bank name: National Westminster Bank, PO Box 1PY, Grey Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE99 1PY. Account name: Northumbrian Water T/A Essex & Suffolk Water. Sort code: 570959. Account number: 00000000. Please send remittances by email to bacs@nwl.co.uk.
• Post Office - You can pay your bill at any Post Office using the payment slip. There is a charge of £2.60 for this service.
• You can change your payment method online.
