One of the principal aims of the Water Regulations is to protect the water supply network from contamination caused by poor plumbing practices. Not only is there a risk to health, but also the cost of getting it wrong and then putting it right afterwards is one we could all do without. Ignoring sound advice or failure to comply causes us great concern. It can result in a significant drain on time and money for everyone and may jeopardise the public water supply. Add to that the risk that you may end up in court and be fined if something serious were to occur, then the rewards of getting it right first time shine through.
