It's show time!

A glittering line up of entertainment has been unveiled for a showcase organised by the Mayor of Chelmsford.

Essex & Suffolk Water is supporting the event which will include performances from X Factor finalist Daniel de Bourg, Boreham Ladies Choir and the Essex Dance Group.

The evening on March 16 will feature over 100 performers and a complete range of entertainment.

Other acts on the line up are the Boswells Jazz Band, Chelmsford Cathedral Primary School, Chelmsford Young Generation, Essex Caledonian Pipe Band and local songwriter Robert Jerome.

All proceeds from the showcase will go to CHESS – the Chelmsford Centre for Homeless People and Chelmsford YMCA.

The Mayor of Chelmsford, Councillor Nicolette Chambers, said: “All the acts have come forward as volunteers for the event – this is a terrific testament to the talent and warm hearts of the people of Chelmsford.”

Jacqueline Searle from the corporate affairs team at Essex & Suffolk Water added: “This is a great way to recognise the talent of people from the local area and raise money for charity at the same time.

“We are very pleased that we have been given the chance to support this event.”

The showcase starts at 6.30pm. Tickets are priced at £11 for adults and £7 for children aged 12 and under. They are available from the Civic Theatre Box Office.
