A water customer is taking a dream holiday to Scotland thanks to a cash prize from Essex & Suffolk Water.

Stephanie Bartlett, 24, won £1,000 after she entered into a free prize draw when she signed up to pay her water bill by direct debit.

She was up against 8,000 Essex & Suffolk Water customers who have also signed up for the first time to pay their water bills the easy way.

Stephanie, who lives in Leigh-on-Sea,  will use her prize money to visit her best friend who lives in Edinburgh.

Stephanie, an administrator said:  “I was so pleased to have won this prize, it was such a lovely surprise. I will use the money to treat my pal during my stay in Scotland – I am really looking forward to it as I have never been to Edinburgh before.

“Direct debit is definitely the way forward – you don’t have to worry about your bills being paid on time.”

More than 382,229 Essex & Suffolk Water customers have so far chosen this no-hassle method to pay their water bill and receive the added bonus of a £5.50 annual discount.
