Helping hand for senior citizens club

A senior citizens club has been given a helping hand towards its running costs.

The Autumn Leaves Club, based in Tolleshunt Knights, has been awarded £600 from the Essex & Suffolk Water Community Fund, which provides support to people, events and projects within the local community.

The club provides support and social contact for the elderly in Tolleshunt Knights.

The Essex & Suffolk Water Community Fund is managed by the Essex Community Foundation and is available to a wide range of organisations throughout Essex and Suffolk and focuses on protecting the environment, promoting health and well-being, education in the community and community support in areas of regeneration.

Any voluntary or community organisation within the counties of Essex and Suffolk that is situated or operates within the Essex & Suffolk Water supply area and fulfils at least one of the selection criteria can apply to the Fund.
