Anglers visiting an Essex reservoir could catch more than they bargained for.
Everyone who fishes at Essex & Suffolk Water’s Hanningfield Reservoir, near Chelmsford, until November 30, 2008 will be entered into a free draw and could be in with a chance of hooking a prize.
Essex & Suffolk Water is offering the prizes, which include either a days fishing at Hanningfield Reservoir, a luxury family break at Kielder Water and Forest Park in Northumberland, North East England,an annual fishing permit at Hanningfield Reservoir or a £200 fishing tackle voucher which can be spent in the Hanningfield Reservoir shop.
In addition to the prize draw, a number of other concessions are available to encourage visitors to the premier fishery. The cost of a hiring a newly refurbished fishing boat has been reduced from £24 to £15 per day for the rest of the season.
Each paying adult can also bring up to two children free of charge. It is hoped this will encourage children to enter the sport.
Already this year, more than 170 people have been taught to fish at Hanningfield, however they have left a whopping 29,400 fish still to be caught before the end of the season!
