Writtle College will be taking an Essex flower garden to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this year in association with Essex County Council and Essex & Suffolk Water.
The project will be in the Great Pavilion as part of the Lifelong Learning category. The RHS’s common theme is climate change and its effects on gardens and gardeners.
Landscape construction senior lecturer Greg Allen and landscape management senior lecturer Andrew Boorman are supervisors. Senior lecturer in garden design Steve Terry designed the garden, which features a water feature, an English oak bench and an interpretation projector.
The projector will show images from classic Essex gardens, which have been supplied by Essex County Council.
