You can update your account quickly and easily using the following online services.

To make a payment or check your account balance

You will need your 12 digit customer reference number ready which can be found at the top of your bill.

To provide a meter reading

You will need either your property reference number from the meter reading card we left you, or your 12 digit customer reference number which can be found at the top of your bill.

We are open to take billing calls 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and 8am-1pm Saturday.

Sewerage services

Essex & Suffolk Water does not provide sewerage services. Our customers receive these from either Anglian Water or Thames Water. If your sewerage services are provided by Anglian Water you can
contact the company with service or billing queries
on 0345 791 9155 (8am until 8pm Monday - Friday
and 9am until 1pm Saturday). For sewerage service queries and emergencies their 24/7 number is
0345 714 5145.

If you receive your sewerage services from Thames Water, we collect the sewerage charges on their
behalf. This is shown on your bill. If you have a service query please contact Thames Water on 0800 316 9800. For billing enquiries please call us on 0345 782 0111.
