Essex & Suffolk Water is proud to support the communities we serve.
Over the years we have given in-kind or financial support to many organisations and our employees have spent hours of work time to support many different projects through our employee volunteering scheme ‘Just an hour’
We receive many requests from organisations seeking support and we look at each of these on an individual basis.
Due to the sheer volume of requests we receive we are not able to help in every case and so we do have to prioritise and our main focus is to support grass root organisations within the areas we serve. Please note we do not give donations to individuals, exclusive religious projects, organisations outside of our service area or to cover wages.
If you represent an organisation seeking financial support or equipment for a project we would invite you to apply for a grant from our fund held with the Essex Community Foundation.
Please apply on-line at www.essexcommunityfoundation.org.uk or call 01245 356018.
A panel of our employees meets half yearly to consider applications in May and November. Your application will be presented to the next available panel meeting.
Essex and Suffolk Water also have a specific environmental fund ‘Branch Out’, which works in partnership to reconnect habitats for the benefit of people and wildlife. For more information or to apply please go to www.eswater.co.uk/your-home/environment/branch-out.aspx
If you are seeking sponsorship or support for a raffle or tombola prize, please send your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will consider each request and respond within six weeks.
Requesting support through ′Just an hour′ - With the company’s desire to support our local communities and a huge wealth of knowledge, skill and expertise among our employees we have developed our employee volunteering programme, ′Just an hour′. This scheme is designed to impact on education, the environment and the general well-being of the communities we work in and serve. One of the main goals is to add value to the community and to realise this, each of our employees has been given the opportunity to take a minimum of 15 working hours a year to support community initiatives. If you have a project or initiative that you feel we could support please visit the ′Just an hour′ section of our website www.eswater.co.uk/your-home/how-to-get-involved.aspx for more information and details on how you can get involved.
