We understand that a high bill, or unexpected changes to your bill can be a worry. So we want to make things as straightforward as possible.

If your bill seems high, have a chat with MAYA, our digital assistant. She'll take you through some simple steps to check your water use and how it could be affecting your bill. We'll also let you know what to do next.

The most common cause of higher bills is using more water. As we all know, the last couple of years have changed the way many of us live and work.

Things that can affect water usage are:

• Working from home

• Having family or friends coming to live with you, or stay for a while

• Washing your hands more often

• A growing family (congratulations if that’s you!)

• Doing more laundry

• New appliances, like a power shower

• Home improvements, such as redecorating and DIY

Leaks and leaky loos

If you find leaks on your pipework, you'll need a reliable, WaterSafe plumber to help you get back in control of your water bill.

Another common cause of high bills is leaky loos. But, don't worry!

If you think you have a leaky loo, we can send you a free dye kit to check.

Leaking toilets are a leading cause of water waste in the home. If your toilet is leaking, we'll come and fix it for you, for free.

Is your toilet leaking?

We offer a free service where one of our plumbers will call you to see if your toilet is leaking and to help fix it over the phone. They may even be able to order you a free replacement part.

Call 0800 953 0130 to book in your slot.

Leak allowance

If you find and fix a leak in your home or on your property within 30 days, you might qualify for a leak allowance.

We'll need a meter reading after you've fixed the leak, and a second meter reading two weeks after, to calculate your bill.
