Up North
Northumbrian Water supplies 2.7 million people with water and wastewater services, in the North East of England.
Our northern supply area includes the urban populations of Tyneside, Wearside and Teesside, but we also serve large rural areas in Northumberland and County Durham.
We also provide waste water services only in the Hartlepool area.
Down South
Essex & Suffolk Water provides water services to two separate supply areas.
Our Essex area, with a population of 1.5 million, is part rural and part urban includes Chelmsford, Southend and the London Boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, and Havering and Redbridge.
We also serve a population of 300,000 in our Suffolk area, which is mainly rural.
