Lead pipe replacement for homes
We're working in specific neighbourhoods to upgrade old water pipes.
While we are in those areas, we're replacing any lead pipework running into properties for free. We will have already contacted you, by email or letter, if we're currently working in your neighbourhood and your property may be eligible. But you need to get in touch to get booked in.
This work is fully funded by Essex & Suffolk Water.
The water pipe that connects your property to the water main in the public highway is owned by you, or your landlord. If your home was built before 1970 there is a good chance your water supply pipes are made of lead. As part of our current project in your area, if that pipe is lead we will replace and remove this lead pipe, free of charge.*
