Premier trout fishery at Hanningfield Reservoir

Go fishing

We trust you have over wintered well and, like us, are ready to return to boat and bank for some excellent sport. For a copy of this year’s guide which includes information for anglers please see the link below.

We are pleased to announce our 2018 fishing season starts on Saturday 10 March 2018. In addition the costs for fishing have remained the same as last year, apart from a slight increase to the day catch and release permit. For full details on permit prices visit our opening times and prices page.

This season we will be stocking 50,000 quality rainbow trout with a minimum weight of 1lb 12oz / 700 grams. We are sure our preseason stocking of 12,000 will get the season off to a great start and that the over-wintered fish will also provide you with some great early season sport. In addition we will also be trickle stocking some larger excellent quality trout from the cages throughout the season.

For enquiries and up to date information throughout the season keep checking in on our website or call our leisure team on 0845 155 0236 (Monday to Friday, 9.15am until 4.45pm). You can also find us on Facebook @HanningfieldReservoir.

Finally we would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your valued custom and to wish you “tight lines” for the coming season. We do hope that you are able to join us this season to enjoy some fantastic sport and look forward to welcoming on site in the near future.
