Highway gully issues
The grid-like drains you see along the side of the road are highway gullies. If you notice a problem with one, you'll need to contact the council to report it.
Sewer manhole covers
These are large covers, usually rectangular or circular in shape that provide access to the public sewer network. If these covers are broken, damaged, or missing, you’ll need to contact either Thames Water or Anglian Water.
Broken water covers
Our water network often has smaller square or circular covers that provide access to stop taps, meters, or valves which we’re responsible for. These are commonly marked with “Water” or “ESW”. Some larger covers may contain multiple water meters or stop taps. If any of these covers are broken, loose or missing, they must be reported to us so we can arrange a repair.
